About Us

Lobo Lodge Kennels was founded by retired school teachers, Bill and Judy Thompson, in March 1990. The kennel was named in honor of their first Keeshond, "Lobo". Bill and Judy were born with a love of dogs and presently live with a Keeshond, a Norwegian Elkhound, two Pomeranians, two cats and a parrot.

Bill and Judy take great pride in knowing that your pet will be given the same special attention that they would receive in your own home.
It was their passion for dogs that prompted them to launch their own kennel lodge. They feel it is of the upmost importance to provide top quality love, attention, care, cleanliness, and home atmosphere, including multiple outdoor exercise times and social interaction for each dog or cat that visits.

They live on the premises, so they are only feet away from your pet at all times, day or night.

In 2010 they were named "Cincinnati's #1 Recommended Pet Boarding Kennel" by the Animal Wellness Program.

Judy also began a dog showing career in the 1980s and has handled numerous dogs to their Championships in AKC, UKC, CKC and INT'L, including several Best In Shows. She has been involved with the Keeshond breed since 1988 and has bred and owned many top ranked Champion Keeshonds.
